Or, rather, Americans themselves?
As midterms roll around, disgruntled liberals and conservatives in general gleefully point out Obama's kept none of his 2008 campaign promises. Which is, well, bloody stupid. Were those ever really concrete promises? Suggestions, yes. Aspirations, oh boy fuck yes. But he never guaranteed a better education system or the end to all our healthcare and Social Security woes--and he's actually withdrawn from Iraq. Not to mention all those college students are getting a sweeter deal than I did...bitches.
(In the spirit of bipartisanship, let's look at our last president. Wait, Dubya didn't win the popular vote at all and his reelection was based around 9/11, God Bless America, and terrorism. Never mind! On the other hand, he didn't have any promises to break, now did he.)
I just find it hard to believe that people are bitching about results when they voted for potential.
